After being too tired to drive up night before set off early and had long awful journey to Wales so felt like a sail but wind forecast N and light. But Straits delivered as usual with W arriving from somewhere. Borrowed JP 125 Free Race and 7.8m twin cam. Gear not used for a while so downhaul rope broke and replacement 4mm would not fit through pulley, so could not get much dopwnhaul which was not too much of a problem as wind light. Felt like 8-10knots and board planed easy. Amazing really, what a great board. Had hour and half planing in flat sea, and frustrations of driving all forgotten.
